Kim Kardashian has reportedly been having "cathartic" chats with Beyoncé Knowles.

The reality star gave birth to daughter North, her first child with boyfriend Kanye West, in June.

Rapper Kanye has been busy with his music and the couple are often forced to spend time apart.

Kim, 32 has apparently called on her famous friend for some emotional support.

"Bey and hubby Jay-Z went to see Kim while Kanye was away to see how she was coping," a source revealed to British magazine Star.

"Bey saw how fragile Kim has become. Her spark and feistiness wasn't there, and she poured her heart out about the things that were troubling her."

Kim is currently living in her family home with North and her mom Kris Jenner.

Despite having people around her, it's apparently Beyoncé who is keeping a smile on her face.

"Although Kim has her family and some very close friends as a support network, it took a comparative outsider like Bey to see that she was going through a sort of crisis," the insider continued.

"Kim keeps stuff bottled up, but in Beyoncé she's discovered she has a pal she can talk to quite openly - and she's finding their sessions cathartic."

While Kim was swept up in the excitement of her new baby originally, she is now thought to be feeling "miserable and weepy" without her boyfriend by her side.

The reality TV star apparently gave Kanye a piece of her mind when he was spotted on a yacht during a business trip to Greece.

The rapper, 36, seems to have taken her worries to heart, as he headed back to the US 48 hours later.
