Kim K: Conception is challenging
Kim Kardashian is said to be considering a surrogate for her second child due to fear of being pregnant again.
The 34-year-old reality star already shares 19-month-old daughter North with husband Kanye West.
The couple are eager to expand their family, but according to Kim conception is just not occurring as swiftly as they’d like.
“It's been more challenging to get pregnant the second time around,” she said at the E! International Press Junket on Friday, according to the Daily Mail.
“When you're not planning it, it happens. It's just how God works. And when you want it so bad, it's not happening…”
However, a new report suggests Kim isn’t keen on carrying another child in her body.
“Kim will use a surrogate because she doesn’t want to have a huge weight gain as she did while pregnant with North,” a source told Radar Online. “Having worked very hard to get her famous body back into shape, Kim is afraid of being unable to do it again.
“Besides the weight gain, the pregnancy was very hard for Kim’s body. Constantly having cramps, and being uncomfortable made her miserable.”
Kim became an international celebrity alongside her sisters Kourtney and Khloé in their reality TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Kourtney, 35, has three children of her own and apparently she’s unwilling to be a surrogate for her younger sibling.
“No way would Kourtney carry Kim’s baby!” the insider revealed. “She’d do it for Khloé in a heartbeat, but Kim is such a control freak, she knows it would be a nightmare.”
In any case, it’s believed Kim will do thorough research before making a decision.
Apparently all candidates are set to undergo an arduous interview process.
“[Choosing a surrogate] will be done with the utmost discretion,” the source detailed. “The surrogate would be very carefully screened.”
