Kim Kardashian is reportedly craving attention while shying away from the spotlight at the urging of boyfriend Kanye West.

The 32-year-old reality star and boyfriend Kanye West welcomed their first child, daughter North, on June 15.

Since becoming a mom Kim has uncharacteristically shied away from the press, with recent reports suggesting she’s keeping a low-profile at Kanye’s request.

However, Radar Online now claims Kim is “missing her old life”.

“Kim loves being a mom and spending all of her time with the baby,” a source said.

“But she’s really bored! She misses going out all the time to shop or eat and have people in public fawn all over her.”

Kim hasn’t completely given up on fame. The television star is still filming her family’s E! network reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Apparently Kanye is still pushing her to be “more selective” about projects and she’s trying to balance making the rapper happy and being a new mom with pursuing fulfilling career goals of her own.

“Kim really likes the attention she gets from people when she goes out in public or even online, but since Kanye wants her to be more selective about what she’s doing it isn’t as interactive for her and she misses her old life,” the insider said.

“She wouldn’t trade the baby for anything, of course, but she is saying she is bored right now.”

The claims come on the heels of reports of Kanye’s own personal struggles.

The rapper is facing criminal charges for his alleged involvement in a physical confrontation with paparazzo Daniel Ramos at Los Angeles International Airport on July 19, according to the website.

Radar reports he could face up to a year in jail if convicted of attempted grand theft and criminal battery. Both charges are misdemeanours.

The rapper’s arraignment is scheduled for October 10.
