Kim K's adoption dream over?
Kim Kardashian's dream of adoption could be over after the Thai girl in question said she'd rather stay with her family.
Earlier this year, the reality TV star and her family were vacationing in Thailand for their show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
During an emotional visit to an orphanage, Kim, 34, seemed particularly taken with one 13-year-old.
"She is so sweet, I like literally want to take her home with me," Kim gushed on camera, before opening up about the experience to her husband Kanye West on the phone.
"I told him, 'Honey, I would like literally adopt her.'"
But after her mom Kris Jenner warned her she was being hasty, Kim seemed to put the idea to one side.
Now the teenager in question Laddawan Tong-Keaw, nicknamed Pink, has revealed she couldn't have moved stateside with the star. The girl isn't actually an orphan and her mother, who is too poor to care for her, lives nearby and visits her at the home.
"When I found out she wanted to adopt me, I was shaking. I was so excited. It would be such a change of life for me," she admitted according to MailOnline.
"I spoke to my mum about Kim and she said, 'When you finish High School and you can look after yourself, I will give you permission to go and live with Kim if you want to go.'
"But the other children here are like brothers and sisters to me and I couldn't leave them behind. They are my family and I couldn't just go away and leave them."
But that doesn't mean Kim can't be a part of Pink's life. When asked if she'd like to see the star again, she was enthusiastic, saying she'd love Kanye and the couple's baby North to get involved, too.
"I would like to see her again one day if it's possible. But not just Kim – I'd like to meet her husband and her daughter as well. I'd like to meet the whole family," she smiled.
