Kirsten laughing off nude pic leak
Kirsten Dunst has labelled the leaking of nude pictures of her a “really unfortunate situation”.
The 32-year-old actress was just one of the stars who found intimate shots made public when Apple’s iCloud was hacked.
But Kirsten admits she is doing her best not to get worked up about the leak, and is leaving things to the professionals to investigate.
“I try to have a sense of humour about a really unfortunate situation," she told E! Online. "The FBI is investigating, so they're handling it right now."
Naked shots of Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Krysten Ritter and Teresa Palmer were also illegally disseminated online.
Following the leak, the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed they are “addressing” allegations that Apple’s online storage system was hacked to access the pictures and make them public.
However, Apple maintain there aren’t any privacy issues with iCloud, but they are doing their utmost to work on better security measures for the system to avoid anything similar happening in the future.
"After more than 40 hours of investigation, we have discovered that certain celebrity accounts were compromised by a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions, a practice that has become all too common on the Internet," Apple said in a statement.
"None of the cases we have investigated has resulted from any breach in any of Apple's systems including iCloud or Find my iPhone. We are continuing to work with law enforcement to help identify the criminals involved."
It was recently revealed that American model Joy Corrigan is suing Apple after claiming she tried to warn the company about a security problem when nude pictures of her were leaked online.
But Joy says Apple told her she had been a victim of phishing and she was advised to change her password.
Now Joy is campaigning for other victims of the leak to join her in the class-action lawsuit against Apple and their “crappy security”.
