Klum’s a mad hatter for 40th
Heidi Klum enjoyed a star-studded hat-themed birthday party on Los Angeles on Saturday to celebrate turning 40.
The German supermodel was joined by boyfriend Martin Kristen and her children for the festive affair at Los Angeles’ posh Hotel Bel-Air, according to MailOnline.
Heidi arrived in black skinny jeans, high heels and a sequined blazer, although her statement piece was the three-tiered black and silver top hat she wore to the event.
Other partygoers were pictured getting into the spirit as they made their way to the festivities.
Pregnant singer Fergie, who is expecting her first child with husband Josh Duhamel, was seen carrying a large gift-wrapped box into the hotel.
Heidi was elated about celebrating earlier in the week. She shared her excitement about the party-planning with American talk show host and comedienne Ellen DeGeneres.
“I'm excited. My friend is actually throwing a party for me and it's going to be a hat party. I can't wait! We'll be having burgers, ice cream, fries, chocolate. All the usual stuff,” she said.
Although Fergie wasn’t pictured in a hat upon her arrival Heidi made it clear no one would be exempt.
“Everyone has to show up in a hat. So it's all girlfriends of mine and everyone has to wear a crazy hat. So we're all going to sit around with some hats on, which I think is fun,” she laughed.
The model is also not anxious at all about the milestone. She insisted, “40 is the new 30”.
“I don't really care about aging. I'm happy. When I get one year older it means we're still here, having a good time,” she said.
The birthday marked Heidi’s first with new boyfriend Martin.
She began dating her longtime bodyguard last year after splitting from husband Seal.
