Kourtney Kardashian is reportedly interested in how her friend Nicole Richie maintains "a great marriage."
Kourtney has two small children with her longtime partner Scott Disick.
It is rumoured that Kourtney and Scott are experiencing a rough patch in their relationship currently and that the reality star is considering calling it quits.
Nicole shares two children with her husband Joel Madden and their union is sound.
Kourtney seeks advice from Nicole on how she manages to keep the peace.
"Kourtney has been trying to learn from Nicole on how she makes everything work," a source told Star magazine.
"Nicole's completely turned her life around since having children and is in a great marriage. Kourt badly wants the same with Scott."
Kourtney is said to no longer be willing to put up with Scott's hard partying lifestyle.
Nicole apparently thinks Kourtney needs to be sterner with her man.
"Nicole told her she need to toughen up on Scott and make him go to parenting classes, so he can learn how to be a good father," the source revealed.
"Nicole made it clear that she turned her life around by becoming more private and wouldn't give that up for anything."
