Kris Jenner 'struggles with convos about Caitlyn'
Kris Jenner's sister says the Kardashian matriarch finds it hard to talk about Caitlyn.
The 59-year-old came face to face with her ex-husband, formerly known as Bruce, for the first time since his gender transition to Caitlyn in the latest episode of the 65-year-old’s reality show I Am Cait. The meeting had many awkward moments and Kris’ sister Karen Houghton believes it's because Kris is still heartbroken.
“Kris and Bruce had the happiest marriage,” she told British magazine Heat. “Kris doesn’t talk about it much because she finds it embarrassing – I think she’s hurt more than anything. But my sister is a genius at marketing so she’s very good at hiding her feelings. Kris doesn’t want the world to think her life is falling apart.”
Karen also believes Caitlyn’s arrival has had a major effect on her youngest child, Kylie. The 18-year-old has overhauled her image in recent months, confessed to lip fillers and begun a relationship with 25-year-old rapper Tyga.
“I call Kylie my wild child,” Karen continued. “Is she wild because of Caitlyn? Yes. But she’s happier now she’s dating Tyga, and I think he’s living with her in that big house. I hope she’s truly happy.”
While Kylie has struggled with her father’s transformation, her big sister Kendall, 19, has handled the news the best according to her aunt.
“I don’t think Kendall’s used to it yet, but she’s the strongest,” Karen added.
While she thinks Khloé Kardashian tells it like it is and Kourtney is debating about how to introduce Caitlyn to her three children, Karen believes Kim has taken a lot of the pressure off her mother.
“Kim’s really protective of her mum right now,” she said. “All the girls are, but Kim’s been helping out Caitlyn too – she’s really stepped up.”
While Kris is still very raw about the whole ordeal, her sister thinks she will eventually reach a point where she can be close to Caitlyn.
“It hasn’t been fun for Kris – the whole frigging world has seen this play out but I think her and Caitlyn will end up as friends,” she said.
