Kris Jenner 'wanted Kimye wedding deal'
Kris Jenner is reportedly disappointed that Kim Kardahsian and Kanye West turned down well paid deals for their wedding photos.
Kim wed rapper Kanye West in a lavish ceremony in Florence, Italy, last month with the world's media eager to get a glimpse of the action. It's been reported that some outlets offered more than $10 million for exclusive snaps but the couple shunned the money, instead deciding to keep control of the shots.
"[Kris] very much wanted to sell the pictures. Kris was none too happy," a source divulged to Page Six, pointing out that Kris as manager gets commission on her children's business interests.
In the past Kris brokered profitable deals for Kim's doomed union with second husband Kris Humphries and Khloé's failed marriage to Lamar Odom. But 37-year-old Kanye reportedly had other ideas and followed his close friend Jay Z's lead when it came to family photos.
“Kanye is taking a page from Jay and Bey [Beyoncé Knowles], who own their photos,” the source said.
Beyoncé and Jay Z routinely release private snaps on their various social media sites, including images of their two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
Another source disagreed with the sentiment, claiming Kris had no say in what the couple chose to do with the photos from their special day.
"These are Kim’s wedding pictures. Kim and Kanye were getting offers for money, and they decided with their teams not to take any," the insider said.
Kim took to her Instagram account earlier to share an adorable snap of daughter North taking a nap with Kanye, after the family celebrated the cute tot's first birthday. Both daddy and daughter are dressed in grey, and sleeping peacefully in the picture.
"This is what life is about! Our baby girl turned 1 today! We played so hard they passed out while we were watching the game! Happy Father's Day to the best daddy in the world! The way you love our daughter and protect her makes me filled with so much love! #BestDayEver #Twins #HappyFathersDay#HappyBirthday (sic)" Kim captioned the shot.
