Kristen Stewart sorry for affair
Kristen Stewart has apologised publicly to Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson following reports that she had a brief but steamy affair with her Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
The 22-year-old actress issued her apology to People magazine.
It was quickly followed by an apology via People from the 41-year-old director to his family.
Kristen has been in a relationship with R-Patz for several years, although they have never officially confirmed their romance. Rupert is married to British model-actress Liberty Ross, and the couple have two children.
The actress said her "momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob".
She continued: "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."
Rupert said he is "utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family".
"My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together," the film director added.
US Weekly published photographic evidence of the affair in its latest issue, with the pair in steamy and compromising embraces.
