Kristina Rihanoff in talks for Dancing with the Stars - report
Kristina Rihanoff's plan to move to Los Angeles for a gig on Dancing with the Stars is apparently causing tension in her relationship with Ben Cohen.
Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Kristina Rihanoff is reportedly in talks to take on a role in the U.S. version of the show.
The 39-year-old star is apparently flying out to Los Angeles to have discussions with bosses about becoming a professional on Dancing with the Stars.
According to The Sun, Kristina is being encouraged by former Strictly head judge Len Goodman, who now works full-time as a judge on the U.S. series.
"Kristina is in talks to do Dancing with the Stars and she's flying out to L.A. at the weekend for secret talks," a source told the publication. "They are very keen on her and Len has told her it would be a great move for her to make career wise."
However, while the job would be a massive career boost for Kristina, it is said to be putting a strain on her relationship with former rugby ace Ben Cohen. The couple are parents to 10-month-old daughter Milena, and Ben is apparently concerned about how her L.A. gig would affect them as a family.
"Ben desperately doesn't want her to move to the States and it is causing serious tension in their relationship," the insider continued. "But she feels she needs to be the main breadwinner and support their family and she is very passionate about continuing her career after Strictly. She loves being a mum and still loves Ben, of course, but she's not prepared to put her career on the back burner.
"They'll simply have to find a way to make it work."
In addition, Kristina is reportedly well aware that her shelf life as a professional dancer is fast approaching its expiration date, with the source concluding: "It's something she feels she needs to do before she turns 40 in September."
Ben also has two children with estranged wife Abby, nine-year-old twin girls Harriette and Isabelle, with his daughters another major reason he wants to stay in London.
