KStew: I’m a workaholic

Kristen Stewart will work non-stop so long as she finds inspiring projects.

The actress took a year off work after wrapping up The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

According to Kristen, this is highly unusual because the last time she took time to herself was in 2006.

"I had sort of been considering taking time off for a long time, but this was not planned," she told MTV News. "I'm a total workaholic, and if there's something out there that feels worth it, then I will work through Christmas. It doesn't matter."

The On The Road star’s new film Camp X-Ray premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last week, ending Kristen’s downtime. The star insists her year-long break had more to do with not being inspired than with being tired.

"It was simply because I didn't find anything that I really dug," she said, adding the time off was valuable and she’s grateful for it.

According to the actress, having moments of personal reflection is crucial to her art.

"It is important to fill the well. As an actor, all you want to do is give as much as can, and obviously, you need experience to draw from," she revealed. "Not to say that you're not having experience while making movies. It's nice to decompress and recharge. It really is a necessary step to being a good actor."
