Eva La Rue has confessed she was heartbroken to learn CSI: Miami was being axed.
The actress plays agent Natalia Boa Vista in the US crime drama, which TV bosses announced earlier this year wouldn't be renewed for an 11th season.
Eva admitted: "It's heartbreaking. We knew it was a possibility, but we honestly didn't think it would be us.
"The saddest part about it was we got cancelled during our hiatus so after all those years together, none of us had the chance to say goodbye.
"We just said our usual goodbye at the end of season 10. 'Have a great hiatus. See you in July!' And that was it."
The 45-year-old predicted she won't get another chance to be in a show like CSI: Miami.
"I think you only get your lightning in a bottle one time," she said.
"My career has taken jumps and turns, and has always surprised me. It'll be interesting where the next jump takes me."
Eva added: "I have surprised myself with how calm I am. I have a phenomenal marriage, great kid and great step-kids. Life has been really, really good so I am really happy right now."
:: The final episode of CSI: Miami airs on Channel 5 on Saturday, November 24.
