Lady Gaga sings 'Princess Die' song

Lady Gaga has debuted a song called Princess Die

Lady Gaga has been performing a song called Princess Die, which is believed to be about Princess Diana.

The singer, who is currently in Australia with her Born This Way tour, debuted a song which she said "may or may not" be on her next album, Entertainmentwise reports.

With lyrics such as "I wish I would go in my rich boyfriend's limo. Right after he proposed with a 16 carat stone wrapped in rose gold, with the paparazzi all swarming around, in my Louis Vuitton white button down", parallels have been drawn with Princess Diana.

But, when introducing the song, Gaga took great pains to emphasise the spelling of the song's title.

She said: "It's called Princess Die. D, I, E... D, I, E."

The Sun reports that Gaga has previously spoken about her admiration for Diana, saying: "Diana was the most iconic martyr of fame. She died because of it."
