Lady Mary makes Forbes Rich List
Downton Abbey's Lady Mary Crawley has been named by Forbes in their Fictional 15 Rich List.
The US business magazine compiles a list of the 15 richest fictional characters each year and Lady Mary, played by Michelle Dockery in the hit ITV period drama, has entered the list for the first time at number 14.
She is listed as having amassed a fortune of 1.1 billion dollars through inheritance and marriage, beating Jay Gatsby (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) who is hoarding one billion dollars and just behind Mr Monopoly who has 1.2 billion dollars.
Top of the list is cartoon character Scrooge McDuck, who Forbes have listed as being worth 65.4 billion dollars from mining and treasure hunting.
In spot number two is Hobbit dragon Smaug who has 54.1 billion from marauding, and in third place is Twilight's Carlisle Cullen, who has 46 billion dollars worth of investments.
Iron Man Tony Stark and Charles Foster Kane make up the rest of the top five, closely followed by Batman Bruce Wayne and animated character Richie Rich.
The top 10 includes 50 Shades Of Grey's Christian Grey, Game of Thrones' Tywin Lannister and Simpsons tycoon C Montgomery Burns.
Also just beating Lady Mary are Two And A Half Men's Walden Schmidt and Tomb Raider Lara Croft.
