Lamar denies drug problem
Lamar Odom is shooting down reports he is addicted to crack cocaine.
It has been reported that the 33-year-old has a problem with crack cocaine, with separate speculation that he is addicted to prescription medication Oxycontin and Ambien.
The 33-year-old was spotted with a friend at Teru Sushi in Studio City on Monday night.
When questioned about his alleged drug addiction, he denied having any issues and insisted he doesn’t need professional help.
Odom went on to discuss the possibility of coming back to play for an NBA team and seemed unfazed by all the negative reports about his private life.
“Life is good,” Odom told TMZ.
Odom even laughed at the suggestion there was trouble in his marriage with Khloé Kardashian. When asked if he had talked to her recently he said, “That’s my wife! Of course!”
Despite the troubled athlete’s comments that all is well, he has not moved back into the home he shares with Khloé. Instead, Odom has been seen wandering the streets outside his loft in downtown Los Angeles. TV star Khloé is said to have thrown him out of their marital home and told him not to return until he goes to rehab. The sportsman is rumoured to have briefly checked into a facility last week, but lasted less than 24 hours.
After leaving Teru Sushi on Monday night, Odom and his male companion went to Wokcano, near his apartment.
"Lamar was here last night around midnight," a Wokcano server told Us Weekly. "He came in with a friend and walked around the restaurant as if he was looking for someone.
“It was odd that he didn't sit down to eat. He actually seemed distracted. He's normally very friendly, but he seemed like he was in a rush."
Odom then went on to a late-night convenience store and bought some fruit. According to a witness, the former LA Laker often stops by the spot for a "soda or a snack late at night."
As of last week, wife Khloé allegedly had no idea where her husband was or what he was doing.
Speculation about his alleged drug use came to light after he was accused of having multiple affairs while married.
