Lamar Odom's friends have claimed he's not an angry or violent man to US OK! magazine.

Khloé and Lamar seemed totally loved up, until rumours swirled that he'd been unfaithful and was battling a drug addiction. This led to Khloé filing for divorce in December 2013.

Now the reality TV star is dating basketball player James, which allegedly hasn't gone down well with Lamar.

"The relationship is a slap in the face to Lamar. He and Khloé essentially broke up because he was cheating, and now she's with a man who's notorious for being a womaniser!" a source exclaimed to US OK! magazine.

"Lamar told her, 'He's worse than I ever was', and Khloé couldn't take it. She called him a hypocrite and told him to back off."

The pair hit the headlines two weeks ago when they had a bust-up outside SoulCycle in Beverly Hills. Lamar allegedly ambushed Khloé as she left the fitness centre, but his friend reveals that's not went down.

"It's not like him to get angry like that. He's done some stupid things in his time, but he's not violent or ill-tempered. He was outraged and couldn't contain it," the source said, adding the pair had planned to meet but things got heated during the chat.

Lamar himself corroborates that version of events, revealing his version of events to In Touch magazine recently.

“We spoke [beforehand]. A misunderstanding between me and my wife became public. It’s hurtful. That woman is my wife. Without the ring on my finger. [Even] with her picture being taken with another man, that woman is my wife," he sighed.

He also admitted that seeing Khloé with another man is weird.
