Larry Hagman co-stars attend memorial

Larry Hagman

Larry Hagman was remembered by his Dallas co-stars at an emotional memorial service on Saturday.

The ceremony was held in Texas and was attended by grief-stricken stars Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, who appeared alongside Larry in the prime time soap opera.

Linda played Sue Ellen, wife of Larry's character J.R. Ewing, onscreen and battled tears as she reminisced about their time together on the show.

"To work as Sue Ellen Ewing with J.R. was magical," she affectionately said, according to Entertainment Tonight. "To call him my friend for 35 years - priceless."

Patrick played Bobby Ewing, Larry's onscreen brother.

He also has fond memories of working with the legendary actor.

"There was never a day that went by that he didn't tell me how lucky we are to be working," Patrick recalled. "Anything he could do within the realm of his profession was the most exciting thing he could possibly do and he personified that."

According to DallasNews.com, further guests included the stars of Dallas' TNT remake, Jesse Metcalfe, Brenda Strong, Julie Gonzalo and Josh Henderson.

Larry tragically passed away at the age of 81 last month, following complications related to chemotherapy treatment.

His ashes will be spread all over the world, according to his wishes.
