Latest Big Brother twist leaves Andy West facing eviction vote
Big Brother contestant Andy West will face the public vote after being selected by Sam Giffen in the latest nominations twist.
Hairdresser and model Giffen had to "save and replace" as part of the prize he won in a quiz set by Big Brother.
Giffen was tasked with saving one of the four nominated housemates, and replacing that person with someone else.
He opted to save Jayne Connery, but former BBC reporter West is now at the mercy of the voting public on Friday.
The gay journalist left the corporation over homophobic comments made by boxer Tyson Fury.
Jason Burrill, Jackson Blyton and Laura Carter are also up for eviction.
The contestants had to go head to head and answer questions about their time in the house in order to make it to the winners' zone where only five potential prizes were up for grabs.
Giffen, West, Carter, Blyton and Alex Cannon were the victors, but they were not all rewarded for their efforts.
Model Blyton won a spa experience, while Judge Geordie's Cannon bagged a three-course meal, and picked Burrill to dine with him.
After Giffen realised what he had to do, he repeatedly swore.
He said: "Oh my God, this is the worst thing!" before he chose West.
Giffen defended his choice by saying he could not save anyone who he had already nominated this week.
