Lea Michele apparently appeared crushed when she visited Cory Monteith's memorial for the first time.
Photographer Rik Fedyck says he saw Lea on her first public outing after losing the love of her life.
The eyewitness revealed Lea visited Cory's makeshift memorial outside the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel for five to seven minutes.
“I saw Lea about an hour after the family saw the body at the hospital. There were two huge SUVs out front and Lea was in the back seat of one, sitting between two bodyguards. She was wearing her signature huge black shades. Lea never got out of the vehicle. I saw her in the backseat,” Rik told RadarOnline. "[She looked] crushed.”
Canadian snapper Rik was friends with the late actor, after working with him on Glee promos several times before. He revealed that Cory had grown distant in recent months.
“He’d become a little more evasive with me and now I think I know why,” he explained, adding that the two met up during the first days of Cory’s fatal Vancouver stay. “Cory asked me to give him some space. He didn’t want a lot of people to know he was up there. So that’s what I did. Now I’m wishing I didn’t.”
While actress Lea is yet to publicly speak out following Cory's death, a representative has released a statement on her behalf.
"Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she’s received from family, friends, and fans,” the spokesperson told People magazine.
“Since Cory’s passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them. They are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together. We continue to ask the media to respect the privacy of Lea and Cory’s family.”
