Lea Michele tweets birthday thanks
Lea Michele has thanked her fans and friends for sending best wishes on her first birthday since Cory Monteith's death.
The Glee star is thought to have had a low-key celebration with friends, according to the Daily Mail, but took time to thank everyone who had wished her a happy 27th birthday on Twitter.
She tweeted: "Thank you guys for all the birthday love today :) So beyond thankful for all of you."
Lea lost boyfriend and co-star Cory, who died of an accidental overdose of heroin and alcohol at the age of 31, in July.
As well as fans, many of her co-stars and other celebrities tweeted their birthday wishes to the actress, who plays aspiring Broadway star Rachel Berry in Glee.
Chord Overstreet, who plays Sam Evans in the show, tweeted: "Happy birthday to my dear friend @msleamichele!!! Yall make sure to Go give her a bday shout out!"
Co-star Kevin McHale, who plays Artie Abrams, tweeted: "Happy BIRRFFDAY to the littlest bee around @msleamichele :) love u."
Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres also tweeted birthday greetings: "Sending lots of love and good wishes to @MsLeaMichele on her birthday."
