LeAnn Rimes checked into rehab after worrying about being labelled a "home-wrecker", it has been claimed.
The country singer entered a facility at the end of August to deal with her mounting stress issues.
The 30-year-old's distress stems from the circumstances in which she first met Eddie. The couple were both married to other people when they began their relationship in 2009, something they were widely criticised for.
"LeAnn has had major insecurity issues since she first got together with Eddie," a friend of the couple told Us Weekly. "She's been stressed about always being called a home-wrecker and also worried that Eddie is cheating on her. She's been on a downward spiral."
LeAnn and Eddie met when they were shooting TV movie Northern Lights. Eddie left his two young sons as well as his wife Brandi Glanville to be with LeAnn. She ended her marriage to Dean Sheremet to set up home with Eddie.
LeAnn has previously spoken of her regret about how their romance started. "I take responsibility for everything I've done. I hate that people got hurt...But I don't regret the outcome," she said.
