Leighton Meester and husband Adam Brody are to become parents for the first time, according to reports.

The Gossip Girl actress is expecting with fellow actor husband Adam Brody, who she married in secret last year. The couple are notoriously private, and while their reps have yet to comment on the baby news, the 29-year-old was photographed sporting a significant bump under a grey vest top while out and about in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Pop Sugar were first to share the photographs with E! News confirming the news afterwards. While Leighton is yet to speak on her impending motherhood, she has opened up in the past about her desire to have a family.

“Most people I know are starting to get married," she told Nylon. "It'll be kids next. I like the grown-up stuff. I like having a house. I've got dogs."

Leighton began dating former The O.C star Adam after she ended her relationship with her Remember the Daze co-star Aaron Himelstein in late 2012. The couple got engaged a year later and married in a private ceremony in February last year. The pair chose not to release a statement following the union, with Adam, 35, hastily confirming the news when approached in a car park by a few days later.

“It was a very small and intimate wedding with close family and friends," a source revealed to E! News at the time. "It was beautiful."

And it seems that marriage changed Leighton’s list of priorities.

“My values have shifted greatly in terms of what I find important," she revealed to InStyle U.K. "It's my family, my friends and having a personal life. Those are the things that need nurturing."
