Lena Dunham: I don't need a perfect body

Lena Dunham

Lena Dunham wouldn't want a Victoria's Secret model's body as she likes "not being the babest person in the world".

The creator-and-star of hit HBO series Girls is famed for her practical fashion sense and no-nonsense attitude.

Lena insists she wouldn't want a supermodel figure to rival Victoria's Secret beauties such as Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio as it would make her life too complicated.

"There would be all kinds of weird challenges to deal with. I don't think I'd like it very much," she revealed to Playboy magazine in its April issue.

"I don't want to go through life wondering if people are talking to me because I have a big rack. Not being the babest person in the world creates a nice barrier."

Lena added that having the "perfect" physique may have its perks though, quipping: "That said, I probably would want to see if I could get free food at restaurants. Then I'd call a doctor and see if she could return me to my former situation."

Lena has been in a relationship with fun.'s lead guitarist Jack Antonoff since last year.

The 26-year-old star's choice in men has changed along with her own personal tastes over the years.

"When I was younger, I liked men who gave me some guff. Now I'm much more into someone who is interesting and open with his emotions, has a really good sense of humour and a passion for what he does, wants to hang out with my parents and doesn't want to stay out too late," she explained.

"If I can get excited imagining funny things he did as a kid, there's a pretty good chance I'm in love with him."
