Lena Dunham did not refer to a breakup from boyfriend Jack Antonoff with her startling Instagram post.

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lena Dunham has assured fans she and boyfriend Jack Antonoff are still together.

The 29-year-old Girls star shared a startling post on Instagram Wednesday, in which she moaned about feeling “sh*tty” and needing “space”.

Some fans took her message to mean she and Bleachers musician Jack called off their romance, but that is not the case.

“No, no. Believe it or not ladies can have anxiety and troubles that aren't about getting dumped @jackantonoff #TheBestEgg #LoveYouAll,” she wrote on Instagram Thursday in a caption attached to a photo featuring Lena giving Jack a big fat kiss on the cheek.

The couple first began dating in 2012 and they have been going strong ever since.

Lena’s original September 16 message was very intimate, as she shared an image of herself standing in a bathroom wearing just a Calvin Klein bra and underwear set. The star did not look happy in the photo and her caption text was also melancholy.

“TBH this was a rough week (sic),” she wrote. “It felt like my body, my hormones, my general sense of well-being were betraying me. I wanted to crumple into a pile or hide like a sweatshirt in the lost and found. And I felt as though there wasn't a way to ask for the space and time I needed without hurting someone else. What a shitty feeling, but isn't that the reality for so many of us? I am certainly no self-help guru but here is what I know tonight: when you take the time and space you need, kindly and responsibly, you're suddenly available to the people you love in a whole new way. There is no other answer (except Calvins... Nothing gets between us.)”
