Leonardo DiCaprio believes he is “so fortunate” in life.

The 38-year-old actor has been in the public eye since his acting debut on TV series Parenthood in 1990.

Leonardo has also dated some of the most beautiful women in the world, including now married supermodel Gisele Bündchen.

The star is incredibly appreciative of his time on earth and refuses to fuss about matters.

“[I have] absolutely nothing to complain about,” he told Extra.

“There's a certain price to everything, but every time I listen to myself talk about those prices I get sick to my stomach because I'm so fortunate to do what I do, really I'm a lucky person.”

Leonardo is currently promoting his new movie The Great Gatsby.

The film is a modern adaptation based on the legendary Americana tome written by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

After he does his rounds on the red carpet for The Great Gatsby, Leonardo will go on a professional hiatus for a while.

“To me, right now it's about getting a little breather -- getting some time off. Not a permanent break or not an indefinite period, but you know, just a few months off to do some other things,” he explained.

Leonardo is “feeling great” with his 40th birthday just “around the corner”.

With a new age epoch upon him, he still is unsure whether or not he will eventually marry.

“I take it as it comes. We'll see what happens in the future. I don’t try to determine what the future will be, I take it day by day,” he said.

The Great Gatsby opens in US theatres May 10.
