Lewis Hamilton made an emotional tribute to ex-love Nicole Scherzinger when he won the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Formula 1 racing driver split from X Factor judge Nicole recently after five years together, but seemed to hint he wanted to reconcile in his post race interview, said the Daily Mirror.

He said: "It's not been the easiest few months, I was just saying that my family have been really supportive. It feels a little bit odd without that someone here - but I would say now that these are one of those races you want to dedicate to that someone."

Lewis had previously tweeted: "If you've found that special someone, don't EVER let them go no matter what!! Nothing in this world is more important."

The budding music star also posted a photo of himself in a recording studio with the tweet: "My hideaway - pouring my heart into this track!!"

He had also hinted he was planning to propose to former Pussycat Doll Nicole shortly before their split.

Asked about whether he would pop the question to his 34-year-old girlfriend, Lewis, 28, had said: "We've been together for five years, which is quite a milestone really. But hopefully in the near future. Maybe before we get to six years."

The pair are said to have split because their hectic work schedules made it impossible to spend time together.
