Liam Hemsworth 'punches man'

Liam Hemsworth

Liam Hemsworth has apparently been caught on camera punching a man in the face.

The Hollywood heartthrob, who is engaged to Miley Cyrus, was reportedly leaving a bar in the early hours of Sunday morning in Philadelphia when the altercation took place. According to TMZ, a man reported to be Liam lashed out after thinking someone had thrown a rock at him and his friend.

In a video appearing on the gossip website, the 22-year-old actor is seen standing above a man who is clinging to Liam's leg as he lies on the ground. Liam then seemingly punches him in the face and pushes his head into the ground.

The star is accompanied by another male who helps to hold the man down.

A police car is then seen arriving on the scene, as the crowd is broken up. Liam and his friend appear to leave the area, with no arrests being made.

TMZ reports that no reports have been filed with the Philadelphia police department as yet.

Liam's representatives have not commented on the altercation.

Miley and Liam are no strangers to getting into scuffles.

In September, the 20-year-old beauty was accused of punching a club-goer in the face while trying to break up a fight between Liam and another man. However, Miley later slammed claims that she was a suspect in a criminal battery, insisting the reports were "completely false and erroneous".

Liam and Miley look set to tie the knot next year. Miley's cousin recently said the singer-and-actress wants her wedding to be a "fairytale".
