Liam Payne slams ‘crazy’ 1D doc

Liam Payne

Liam Payne has responded with concern in the wake of rumours 14 One Direction fans committed suicide after watching a documentary about the band yesterday.

Britain’s Channel 4 broadcast the TV show Crazy About One Direction on Thursday, which observed the dedicated fans of Liam and his bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson.

Since the programme aired, a hashtag #RIPLarryShippers has been trending on Twitter, with unconfirmed speculation some fans committed suicide after watching the show.

"Not really sure what's going on right now I just hope everyone's ok xxx," a concerned Liam tweeted. "Hearing some horrible things... Really hope this isn't true

"Just so all of you know we love you guys and we know how dedicated you are and tbh we can't believe it that you gus spend all you time on us

"We couldn't give a f**k what any documentary says there dramatised for entertainment and full of bulls**t anyway we all know...

"... How hard you work for us and see it everyday at our shows, Let's all take a step back and think about what we/you have all achieved... You should be proud (sic)."

The Larry Shippers are a subgroup of One Direction fans who want Harry and Louis to have a gay relationship.

According to rumours, 14 Larry Shippers killed themselves in the wake of the programme.

The rest of the group have so far remained quiet about the speculation.

Crazy About One Direction shed light on how far fans are willing to go for their favourite band, showing them waiting hours for the boys and obsessively tweeting them.

"[Twitter] is like a prayer place. When you go to a prayer place you feel like you're connected to God. When you go on Twitter you feel like you're connected to One D. You just have hope," Natasha, 17, said in the documentary.
