Liam’s girl ‘dumped jailed ex’

Liam Hemsworth

Liam Hemsworth’s new flame reportedly ditched her boyfriend in July before he went to jail.

The actor was romantically linked to Mexican actress Eiza González after they were spotted kissing in Los Angeles this week.

According to a Spanish-language report translated by Radar Online, the star’s new flame broke up with her ex, Pepe Diaz, not long before he was tossed behind bars.

Entretenimiento.Terra.com reports Diaz was imprisoned on September 5 in Mexico City after allegedly dodging tax payments.

His attorney, César Cerisola, confirmed the sentence on the country’s TV show Ventaneando.

According to Radar, Diaz was released on bail on September 14.

Cerisola reportedly believes it could take up to 18 months to fight his client’s case.

Diaz apparently won’t have Eiza’s support through the ordeal as she revealed she had just gone through a breakup in August.

“I’m single for over a month! Happy ending a period that is incredible! I’m very excited (sic),” she tweeted, according to a translation from the micro-blog.

“With new beginnings, new stages and life projects! TO LIVE!” the 23-year-old continued.

Eiza was seen hanging out with Liam in Las Vegas prior to his announcement that he had ended his engagement with Miley Cyrus earlier this month.

The actor has reportedly told his ex she can keep the $100,000 ring he presented her with last year as a "memento of their love affair".
