Lil Wayne was hospitalised on Thursday after suffering from severe dehydration mid-flight.
The rapper's plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Texas after he suffered "seizure-like symptoms", TMZ reported at the time.
The 30-year-old star, real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., was hospitalised immediately after landing.
A representative for the rapper told MTV News Wayne is recovering after treatment for a severe migraine and dehydration.
"He is at home on doctor-mandated rest and will return to work soon. He appreciates all of his fans for their support and love," a statement reads.
Wayne will reschedule his appearance on Saturday at the Jefferson Mall in Louisville, Kentucky.
The rapper is meanwhile preparing for the December release of his solo album I Am Not a Human Being II.
He recently revealed he hit the studio with several of his contemporaries, including Juicy J, Cool & Dre and David Banner. There will also be at least one track featuring Kanye West.
"Yeah (Kanye has) got some music on there," Wayne confirmed this week, hinting, "It's crazy, actually I don't want to give too much up but he's got a big hand in the album, you'll see."
