LiLo ‘not surprised’ by mom’s arrest
Lindsay Lohan was not shocked by reports of her mother’s DUI arrest, according to a new report.
Dina Lohan, 50, was allegedly twice the legal blood-alcohol limit when she was pulled over in Long Island, New York on Thursday night for speeding.
Apparently her 27-year-old daughter was not shocked by the news.
“Lindsay wasn’t surprised that her mom got popped for a DUI. It was only a matter of time, according to Lindsay,” a source told Radar Online.
Dina was reportedly driving 77 mph in a 55 mph zone when police pulled her over.
Officers are said to have tested her blood alcohol level, which registered at .20 - more than double the legal limit of .08, according to the website.
She was reportedly booked on two counts of driving while intoxicated and one count of speeding but is no longer in custody.
Her arrest comes a month after Lindsay completed a court-ordered rehab stint stemming from charges of reckless driving and lying to police investigating her June 2012 car crash in Los Angeles.
Apparently Dina’s substance issues have been the cause of escalating tension between the mother and daughter, who is said to be committed to kicking her addictions and was pictured outside of her mother's home on Friday.
“Since being released from rehab, Lindsay has had limited contact with her mother because Dina can be a bad influence on her daughter’s sobriety,” the source said.
“Dina will say she is the last person that has a problem with booze, but she does. Lindsay loves her mom, but she is putting herself first, and her recovery, which is a very good thing.”
Dina, who split from Michael Lohan in 2007, is also mother to Lindsay’s younger sister Ali as well as brothers Cody and Michael Jr.
She is expected in court to answer to the charges later this month.
