LiLo 'reaches out to sober friends'
Lindsay Lohan is reportedly back in touch with a group of friends who are a good influence on her.
The 28-year-old star has stayed out of trouble since completing a court-ordered rehab stint last year and has been preparing for her turn on the West End stage in Speed-the-Plow, which starts in London, UK, next month.
There had been some speculation that while in the UK city Lindsay hadn't been in touch with a group of people who were a positive influence on her when she was in New York City, but that has apparently changed.
"Lindsay was making every effort to re-establish contact with her sober group of friends this weekend while she was in New York," an insider told RadarOnline.
As well as spending time in the British capital Lindsay has been holidaying in Ibiza recently. Her friends weren't able to get in touch with her but she's apparently told them that far from ignoring their calls, they simply didn't go through to her.
"Lindsay said she needed to get away and clear her head," the insider explained, "but now she is trying to get back on track.
"Reconnecting with people in her life that are positive influences is a huge step in the right direction."
Last week Lindsay gave an interview to MailOnline in which she chatted about how much she is looking forward to appearing on stage. She insisted that she is now ready to put her past transgressions behind her fully, admitting she has made a lot of mistakes but claiming she is a new person now.
"I think it's just the idea of when it starts, on opening night, that's what makes me the most nervous. I'll probably mess up on the first night just out of fear," she laughed of the play.
"I've never done a play before. I've never even taken acting lessons, I've never done anything like that and it's something new to me and it's live."
