LiLo ‘unspeakable’ says director

Lindsay Lohan’s The Canyons director says she made him feel trapped in her craziness.

The movie was premiered at the Venice Film Festival on Friday but Lindsay didn’t attend after emerging from rehab just last month.

After enduring a 90-day court-ordered rehab stint, the Mean Girls actress has moved back to New York from Los Angeles and movie boss Paul Schrader is grateful she wasn’t around.

"Today I am free," he told reporters according to Us Weekly. "In the past 16 months, I have been hostage to Lindsay Lohan. She is a great actress, she should be here, but her behaviour is unspeakable."

Lindsay has signed a deal with Oprah Winfrey’s OWN TV channel to carry out a reality series following her road to recovery.

She recently took part in an interview with the media mogul where she confessed to occasionally taking cocaine, but she now avoids that kind of scene.

"Yes, nobody thought it was a good idea for her to go," a source added to the publication. "That sort of atmosphere, the festival, the parties. The culture of it is drinking and celebration and not in line with keeping her on the right track."

Paul claims Lindsay leads a similar life to Marilyn Monroe.

The 27-year-old former child star has run into trouble with the law plenty of times after admittedly taking advantage of Hollywood’s decadent party scene.

However, Paul thinks Lindsay and the late icon do not match as far as acting talent goes.

"They aren’t the same as actresses, they are very different,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “But both have had trouble separating their professional lives from their personal lives."
