Lilo 'using police as 'security'

Lindsay Lohan has been accused of using the UK police service as a "free security service".

The 27-year-old star has been in the UK of late, apparently as her romance with British student Christian Arno Williams flourishes.

Over the weekend she attended a friend's birthday party, which was held at a private residence. It was previously reported she asked police to help make a path for her into the property as she was concerned about the waiting throng of photographers. Cops were also on hand to help when she left, with the star criticised for her use of law enforcement officers.

"Once Lindsay was inside, the police left but astonishingly, came back a few hours later when Lindsay was ready to leave," an insider told British newspaper The Sun.

"She appeared to be using the police as a free security service as photographers scrambled to get pictures of her."

Lindsay turned up at the party in West London in a friend's Aston Martin and parked around ten feet from the entrance.

It's understood the 27-year-old star is unhappy with the amount of interest her stay in the UK has generated among paparazzi and has asked for some of them to be arrested for loitering.

She hasn't let it curtail her social life though and has been seen out at several nightclubs over the last few days. On Monday she was seen leaving the exclusive Mahiki nightclub - but tried to trick photographers by covering her face with a plastic refuse sack.

She has also been overheard gushing about her new relationship with Christian, who she met at the recent Shanghai Fashion Awards in China.
