Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell-Bower 'tight'

Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell-Bower have remained friends after their break-up.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones co-stars parted ways earlier this month but there are no hard feelings.

Jamie insists the pair will be pals forever.

"We're tight," he told E! News. "Lily and I are very, very close. Very close. Always have been, always will be."

The actress daughter of musician Phil Collins responded by calling her ex-boyfriend "awesome".

Lily and her former flame have enjoyed the promotional period surrounding their new flick although they split while the project was still in production.

The actress can’t believe the hype surrounding the project.

"Oh it's been crazy. We had one girl faint for Jamie," Lily said. "It's been quite mental. We've had babies named after Jace, we've had real rune tattoos and it's people that are buying the tickets. That's like the best interaction that you can have."

Lily completely understands why ladies get excited over her ex beau.

She agrees his film character is a total hunk.

"Of course they're gonna faint over Jamie. He's Jace reincarnated. It's like, why wouldn't you faint?" she joked.

The pair started dating in July 2012 while recording scenes for Mortal Instruments in Toronto, Canada.

They were apparently spotted last week being affectionate when they held hands while leaving a photo call at Franklin Mills Mall in Philadelphia.

It later emerged they had ended their relationship.

A source says they are still "very good friends".

Just before getting together with Lily, Jamie split from his Harry Potter fiancée Bonnie Wright.
