Lindsay Lohan ‘advised not to live with mother’

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been advised to reside in a sober living facility instead of with her mother, Dina Lohan.

The troubled actress apparently has plans to reside with family matriarch and manager Dina Lohan when she completes her court-ordered treatment at Cliffside Malibu next month.

A source tells Radar Online her counsellors are urging her against it amid fears Dina could be a bad influence.

“[They] have been known to go out clubbing and drinking together,” the insider said. “Lindsay doesn’t need a friend in her parents, she needs Dina to act as her mother.

“She has been told that living under the same roof as Dina could jeopardise her sobriety.”

The screen star is reportedly against the idea of residing with strangers.

While she is said to prefer staying with her loved ones and experience the comforts of home in New York, a sober living facility is apparently being recommended.

“It’s best if Lindsay were to live with a sober living companion, or in a sober living facility upon release from rehab,” the insider commented. “However, Lindsay has no desire to move into a sober living facility.”

Lindsay’s options of places to live are apparently limited because she’s earning very little money.

The primary focus is on making sure she finds a place and supportive people who won’t tempt her sobriety.

“She could stay with a friend, but that opens another can of worms because most of her pals are party animals,” the source added. “Lindsay has to stay out of nightclubs. Time will tell how seriously she is taking her latest stint at recovery.”

Dina recently told the New York Daily News that Lindsay is to leave California following her therapy.

She was unable to see her relatives on her 27th birthday as the special time didn’t fall during visiting hours on a Sunday.

“She will definitely start back at home with all of us,” Dina previously told the publication.

“We couldn’t visit because it fell during the week but we mailed her cards and gifts. We’re going to work it out to all go visit her again, and then we’re planning a pool party,” she said.

Lindsay has yet to comment on the report.
