Lindsay Lohan 'collaborating with Minaj

Lindsay Lohan plans to work with Nicki Minaj.

The actress is a fan of the pop star's music and has implied that a collaboration between the two could be in the pipeline. Lindsay tweeted her support to Nicki ahead of her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) last night, which she followed with hints that the two controversial stars could be planning something together in the future.

"@NICKIMINAJ GOOD LUCK LADY!" Lindsay tweeted, which was followed by congratulations to Nicki for her best female video award win.

"@NICKIMINAJ YEAHHHHHHHHH bella!!!! You deserve it! Can't wait to work with you!!! god bless xo (sic)."

Lindsay also revealed she has a soft spot for British boy band One Direction. The five-piece - comprising of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Niall Horan - scooped a total of three awards at the VMAs. They picked up gongs for best new artist, most share-worthy video and best pop video for their debut hit What Makes You Beautiful.

Following their appearance at the ceremony Lindsay gushed about the young stars, praising both their good looks and musical talents.

Lindsay even asked if they would like to record a track with her when they are next in America, adding that Nicki and Lady Gaga could also be involved.

"I think the boys of @onedirection are so cute!!! They're song always gets me and @aliana dancing :) (sic)" Lindsay gushed on her Twitter page.

"@onedirection when are you in NYC next or LA?! Want to do a track @NICKIMINAJ wanna join? @ladygaga you too?"
