Lindsay Lohan confirms she is a lesbian
Thursday, 25 September 2008
Actress Lindsay Lohan has confirmed she has been dating Samantha Ronson for “a very long time”, according to US reports.
The 22-year-old former girlfriend of Calum Best has frequently been seen partying with Ronson (31), but has never publicly commented about the extent of their relationship until now.
Lohan told the US radio show Loveline that she had been dating the DJ, whose brother is Brit Award winner Mark Ronson, “for a very long time”.
DJ Ted Stryker interviewed Ronson while she took a break from working at TV Guide’s Emmy afterparty on Monday night in Los Angeles.
Ronson had been discussing her friendship with DJ AM and Travis Barker, who are recovering from severe burns following a plane crash in South Carolina last weekend, before putting Lohan on the phone.
Lohan’s publicist, Leslie Sloane-Zelnik, who has previously denied the pair were going out, said Lohan was not engaged to be married.

It's none of our bizz! Let private life be! But I think that it has some how stabilized her in her life and she seems to be maturing like every one dose when they truly find them selves. And why should she be put in a category. I am me, you are you, and let her be her with out putting a label over her head!

Has Lohan actually confirmed she is a lesbian? That headline is misleading. Does anyone remember Anne Heche and Julie Cypher? The only thing that was confirmed was that Lohan and Ronson are in a relationship. Just because you are in a relationship with a person of the same gender does not automatically make you a lesbian.
It has been shown by various scientific studies that many women tend to be more fluid with their sexuality then men. As long as she is happy with Samantha, that is all that matters regardless of the label. In any case, it is obvious though that Samantha is a positive person in her life since she is not so self destructive like she used to be.

I defend BT's right to publish this article, after all it is in the entertainments section and therefore is quite very relevant. I think it's also brilliant that such a high-profile celebrity is able to send out a message that is clear, it does not matter what your sexual orientation is, as deep down we are all human. I say live and let live!

Thank you for printing this article. It may have been a 'waste of time' for some readers, but showing a high profile same sex couple in the media does send a positive message to young people who may be questioning their own sexuality. Straight, gay or bisexual it doesn't matter who you are with as long as you are happy.

I cant believe I wasted my time reading this article. Who cares?? Are peoples lives so boring that they have to take such an odd personal interest in celebrities? Its a bit worrying

So let them be! If true or false who cares!

I don't know Lindsay personally obviously, and I think that people should just leave her alone. She's young and trying different things. This isn't breaking news it's just someone living their lives. I don't agreee with it but seriously everyone should just mind there own business.

KrazyK - People get categorized because they ARE part of that category. No one is so unique that they can't be put into a category. But you're right, she's probably not a lesbian, just bisexual.
Frank - This is the entertainment section, so of course they're going to report it when a celebrity comes out of the closet. It'll stop making headlines when either a) gays are fully accepted in society or b) people no longer care about celebrities. I'm not holding my breath for either.
Wise1 - I never believed the whole "bi-curious" thing. Either you're attracted to a gender (or both), or you're not. You don't get into relationships with people of your own gender just for their personality if you're not gay or bisexual.
Matt - Lindsay and Sam's relationship was being reported on some pretty credible (keyword here: credible) gossip sites over a year ago. It first got out on www.jjsdirt.com, and trust me, that dude knows his stuff.

i think that if she is a lesbian, than good for her. She seems so happy. And it's better than her being in rehab or something. she may very well be "bi-curious" but i doubt it. i am sure she knows how she feels and what she wants. she is a celebrity, that is true but she is still a person. She should be treated with the same respect. let her be.
