Lindsay Lohan 'court case dropped'

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly "ecstatic" that her hit-and-run case has been dismissed.

The troubled star was scheduled to appear in court tomorrow. Her appearance was in connection with an alleged hit-and-run from September, following which Lindsay was arrested.

According to TMZ, the actress will now not be prosecuted for leaving the scene of the accident.

"[Lindsay is] ecstatic," a source told the website.

The case was brought to the attention of the court after it was claimed Lindsay drove a Porsche into a bystander at The Dream Hotel, in New York City.

The website reports that prosecutors decided there was not enough evidence to get a conviction after viewing surveillance footage from the incident.

While the prosecutors may have decided to drop the case against the actress, the alleged victim may choose not to.

He can still pursue a civil case against Lindsay, if he wishes to go down that route.

TMZ reports that Lindsay is not letting things go. She will allegedly be pursuing her accuser for defamation.
