Lindsay Lohan moving to New York
Lindsay Lohan is apparently leaving Los Angeles for a life in New York with her family, according to mother Dina Lohan.
The actress is due to leave Los Angeles, California when she gets out of rehab in July.
The shift across the United States coast is an attempt to get the troubled star back on the right track.
“She’s not going to live in Los Angeles,” her mother Dina Lohan told the New York Daily News. “She will definitely start back home with all of us.”
Apparently the 27-year-old will get a belated birthday pool party on Long Island with her loved ones.
She then plans to continue with work and her court-ordered community service.
Lindsay couldn’t see her relatives on her birthday Tuesday because visiting hours at Cliffside Malibu fall on a Sunday.
“It was a very calm, low-key birthday. We couldn’t visit because it fell during the week, but we mailed her cards and gifts,” Dina explained. “We’re going to work it out to all go visit her again, and then we’re planning the pool party.”
She is thought to have enjoyed a celebration with her lawyer Shawn Holley instead, as well as her friends at the facility where she will spend 90 days in total.
Lindsay switched from Betty Ford last month and is reportedly having more effective treatment at the place perched on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
It has a heated lap pool, state of the art gym, plasma televisions and private sun decks.
“Shawn has been so supportive and such an angel,” Dina continued. “She’s our guardian angel.”
The screen star has been in rehabilitation six times in six years.
However her parent believes she has truly changed with her latest therapy.
“It’s been a long road, and she’s going to be fine,” the mother-of-four commented.
She was ordered to enter lockdown rehab in March after she pleaded no contest to reckless driving and lying to police about an automobile collision on a Santa Monica, California highway in 2012.
