Lindsay Lohan has reportedly turned down a $550,000 offer for Dancing with the Stars.

The troubled actress is attempting to get her life back on track at the moment, although she is still thought to be experiencing financial difficulties. Charlie Sheen lent her money to pay her tax bill recently and she was reportedly only paid $100 a day for her role in new film The Canyons.

Despite this, the 26-year-old has apparently ruled out making money from reality TV.

"Sources close to Lindsay tell us, the actress was made several offers to join the DWTS cast this upcoming season - offers that maxed out at $550,000," reports TMZ.

"But Lindsay... shut them down, telling friends she'd never consider doing reality TV."

A representative for the US TV dancing contest has refused to comment on the reports. The programme has previously seen Pamela Anderson and Kim Kardashian competing.

Lindsay has apparently told friends she wants to put all her efforts into her acting career, which has suffered lately. It's unknown when The Canyons will hit screens and it's been widely reported that the star was difficult on set, with the crew having to strip off themselves to make her comfortable before a nude scene.

The star has previously dismissed the idea of appearing on a reality show after she was linked to UK series Celebrity Big Brother. She claimed to be too "busy" acting to consider the programme.

Although her professional life is beset with difficulties, personally Lindsay is doing better. She has been linked to Max George of British boy band The Wanted recently, although it was thought their dalliance had fizzled out.

However, it seems things are back on with Lindsay posting a picture of herself posing with Max on Instagram. The stars appear to be in a hotel room and seem relaxed and happy in the image.

It comes following claims he has introduced Lindsay to his family, and after he called her a "groupie".

"She was good to party with, but there's definitely not going to be any babies on the horizon," Max previously said. "She can party nearly as hard as we can."

If a loved one is clamouring to make a big purchase, sit down together and review your bank account. Once your partner sees the truth of the situation, they'll feel less compelled to splash out on luxuries. This shortage will be temporary, as long as you exercise restraint during lean times.
