Lindsay Lohan reportedly spends her money as soon as she makes it.
The star has been in trouble with the law over the last few years. Most recently she was implicated in a jewellery theft, although she was later ruled out of the investigation.
Last month, the star was apparently banned from the famous Hollywood hotel Chateau Marmont after failing to settle a bill for more than $46,000. Money is said to be a source of concern for the star.
"Lindsay's broke. She hasn't had a lot of steady work. And when she gets a job, she seems to spend the money as soon as it comes in," a source told the British edition of Grazia magazine.
Lindsay portrayed the late star Dame Elizabeth Taylor in the movie Liz & Dick and is also slated to appear in Scary Movie 5. She doesn't have many other big jobs coming up, which is making those close to her fearful.
"Even though she's a celebrity, many people are talking about how she's almost bankrupt. It's sad," the source added.
