Lindsay Lohan is reportedly seeking a protection order against her father, Michael Lohan.
The 52-year-old showed up to the actress' Beverly Hills, California home on Friday, concerned she had relapsed in her sobriety, according to TMZ.
Police were called to the scene and he was asked to leave.
The Mean Girls star, who is estranged from her father, is now believed to be seeking a protection order to prevent him from making another attempt.
A source told the website the actress will travel to New York City this week to meet with other members of her family and discuss how to proceed.
Lindsay has not issued comment on the incident.
Her mother, Dina Lohan, slammed Lindsay's father after the ordeal.
"This sole act by my ex was not an intervention nor was this extreme antic sanctioned by any member of Lindsay's family or her professional team of handlers," Dina said.
Michael has denied the allegations. An email correspondence obtained by TMZ appears to support claims Lindsay's entertainment lawyer, Dave Feldman, criminal defense lawyer, Shawn Holley, and manager, Evan Hainey, were on board with the intervention, however.
The parties have not yet commented on their alleged involvement.
