Lisa 'felt like lamb to slaughter'

Lisa Maxwell says she was nervous about starting on Loose Women

Lisa Maxwell has admitted she felt like a "lamb to the slaughter" when she first joined Loose Women.

The Bill actress started on the ITV1 chat show last year and said she was terrified about joining the panel of gobby women, which includes Carol McGiffin, Sherrie Hewson and Denise Welch, among others.

The 46-year-old said: "I came in quite scared as I had no idea what was required of me."

She went on: "Really, you feel like a lamb to the slaughter because these guys are old hands, but then you go to the production meeting and they're so generous, they actually allow you to break though their chemistry."

Despite being a rookie, she was picked over other panellists including Lynda Bellingham and Coleen Nolan, to join Carol, Sherrie and Denise on a jaunt in New York for a Loose Women DVD.

"It's a shame because I've just come in for the best bit, haven't I?" she joked.

:: Loose Women is on ITV1 on weekdays. Loose Women In New York - Let Loose In The City is out now on DVD.

Gemini:

This is a good time to establish a routine. Create a schedule that strikes a nice balance between your personal and professional lives. You're the type of person who needs plenty of intellectual stimulation outside of work. If you've been spending too much time at the office, reduce your hours. This may mean less money, but you can't put a price on happiness. You might even decide to take a job with unconventional hours so you can play sports or spend more time outdoors.More
