Lisa Kudrow fooled by Friends hoax
Lisa Kudrow has said even she was fooled by the Friends reunion hoax.
The 50-year-old actress, who played Phoebe Buffay in the sitcom, was taken in by rumours that it would be revived, but was upset that she hadn't been asked to take part, said The Wrap.
She told the Conan O'Brien show: "OK, first of all. The graphic for this one thing was unbelievable. It looked really real. And then they were posting this article and the headline was like, 'NBC Confirms 5 out of 6 of the Friends Are In,' and I went, 'Oh my God. They didn't ask me'."
Earlier this year StarMedia website had posted a story with what looked like a publicity shot of the Friends getting back together and said that the reunion would be ready for November 2013.
Lisa said she felt sorry for fans of the show who had hoped the rumours were true.
She said: "I honestly just feel really bad just by saying, 'And that was actually never something that was ever going to happen.' You're disappointing them. And people got mad at me recently because I had said, 'No, no. That's never going to happen.' They were angry, like I'm the one who shut it down."
