Lisa Kudrow: Learn to listen
Lisa Kudrow thinks everyone should perfect the art of listening.
The actress will always be best known for portraying the eccentric Phoebe Buffay in hit sitcom Friends.
Now she's moving on with new TV roles in shows Web Therapy, The Comeback and Angie Tribeca.
At 51, she continues to learn and grow and has shared her wisdom with fans.
"As you get older, you're less judgemental of yourself and others," she revealed to the British edition of Glamour magazine.
"My advice: be a good listener. Human beings are very complicated."
It could be her acceptance of others that has helped her keep such good friendships alive. Lisa and her Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox remain close, despite the show ending back in 2004.
"Courteney, Jennifer and I - we've known each other for over 20 years," she smiled. "We had lunch together every day for ten years, and it feels like, well, that wasn't enough time at all; I want more, please. When we get together now, it feels like, ah. There is a bond that is there forever."
Lisa is married to French advertising executive Michel Stern and they have 16-year-old son Julian together. Giving each other space has helped their marriage stand the test of time.
"Michel and I respect each other's independence, and I don't mean that as a euphemism. I don't mean relationship-wise, outside of marriage. Clear?" she said.
"But I don't like to travel. So if he wants to go on a golf trip, he goes. Marriage is like being on a team. Each teammate is different, but you have the same goal."
