Liv Tyler 'focusing on herself'

Liv Tyler is said to be "devoting" a lot of her time to her son Milo.

The 36-year-old actress divorced her husband Royston Langdon in 2008, with whom she has nine-year-old son Milo. Although the pair parted on good terms, it is thought Liv lost a substantial amount of money during the proceedings. This is said to have made her more wary about who she spends the rest of her life with.

“Liv took a significant financial hit and it’s still a sore subject for her,” a source told RadarOnline.

“She warns the men she’s dating that she’s not ready to settle down and is devoting most of her time to her son Milo.”

Liv has been linked to several men following the end of her marriage, including her Lord of the Rings co-star Orlando Bloom. She and Royston tied the knot in Barbados in 2003 after her work on the fantasy trilogy and now they have gone their separate ways, the brunette beauty is reportedly keen to focus on time to herself.

“Liv dates but she tells the men she’s with right away that she is in no hurry to get hitched or even live with a man again because her divorce was so spiritually draining ,” the source added.

It is thought the stress of seeing her own parents, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and model Bebe Buell, go through various splits also affected her outlook. The couple shared a brief relationship before getting married to other people

“She has seen her parents go through the strife of divorce-related blues so it looms large in her life,” the insider noted. “Liv can’t go through any of that again, and the men in her life need to be on-board with that.”

Liv previously addressed her divorce and the struggle she went trough.

"There's nothing worse than heartache, being lovesick. It's like there's a physical sickness," she said in 2009.

"You through a couple of weeks where you think, 'Oh, I'm OK, I feel better,' and then suddenly, out of nowhere, it hits you again."
