Lindsay Lohan was told by Judge Stephanie Sautner that she could still be found in violation of her probation even if a jury finds her not guilty. The actress was in court for a hearing relating to lying to police and reckless driving over a car crash in June last year on the Pacific Coast Highway. Judge Stephanie Sautner set a trial date for next month.

Lindsay Lohan reportedly believes snide remarks Justin Bieber made about her during an Instagram diatribe were “senseless and mean”.

After being compared to Lindsay following a series of recent scandals, 19-year-old pop star Justin posted a defensive tirade against the media on his Instagram account Thursday.

During his rant Justin refuted claims he and Lindsay’s paths are similar by dissing the troubled actress.

“And to those comparing me to Lindsey Lohan look at her 2012 tax statements (sic),” he wrote.

Although he removed his initial post within ten minutes of publishing it, Lindsay is said to be infuriated by Justin’s actions.

TMZ reports Lindsay is “appalled” and is convinced that Justin will get a dose of bad “karma” for being so rude.

She believes Justin’s derisive message was “senseless and mean” since she never once had a problem with the star.

Lindsay has been mired in legal problems for years, is in extreme tax debt and currently faces jail time for three misdemeanours related to a June 2012 car crash.

Justin was slammed last week after appearing late on stage at his first London concert, collapsing during another performance and getting into a foul-mouthed argument with a photographer.

Justin has apologised for including the actress in his Instagram invective.

"My post was only up for a few minutes but I realised right away that what I said at the end was wrong and distracted from what I was trying to say,” he told TMZ.

"I immediately deleted it and rewrote it so it would show what I was really feeling and those words are up now."
