The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office is "out for blood" in the case against Lindsay Lohan.
The troubled 26-year-old actress has been formally charged with reckless driving, obstructing or resisting a police officer in the performance of his duty and giving false information to a police officer Thursday. These three offences were related to a car accident that occurred in Santa Monica, California this June.
Lindsay is still on probation for a jewellery theft offence and faces jail time should this be revoked in light of her new indictments.
TMZ reports that prosecutors are intent on locking Lindsay up, as they have filed documents requesting that her probation be revoked in light of these new charges.
Sources close to the case tell the website that lawyers are "out for blood."
The judge will take the prosecutors' petition into consideration, but the decision will ultimately made solely by the magistrate.
Lindsay was also arrested and charged with assault after apparently hitting Tiffany Eve Mitchell in the face at a New York City nightclub late last month.
The star will be arraigned in Los Angeles for the three misdemeanours Wednesday.
Lindsay could potentially spend up to 200 days in jail.
